Miranda and Aaron hosted a super fun and stylish vintage wedding at the Red Barn in Weston, Missouri on a perfect bright sunny summer day. The blue skies out of the city were PERFECT! Miranda and Aaron started their day with a first meeting just outside of a fun antique and crafts shop right on the main street of Weston. After a few kisses and sweet nothings, we set off to explore the area by foot for a few more rustic vintage looks before heading to the Red Barn.

Once back at venue, we pulled together a few family shots and got right into the ceremony! The ceremony was perfectly perched atop a hill overlooking miles of countryside! After the ceremony we hopped on a tractor pulled hayride (no limos here!) for a tour of the property. We found some of my favorite vintage buildings and rustic tools for some fun portraits. To top off the day, Miranda brought a set of hula hoops for a whimsical shot at sunset. So FUN! Check it out:

Welcome to Chennai, India, another world on the same earth.  Tom and Priscilla had the amazing opportunity to join their friends Anusha and Barath for their wedding about 12,000 miles from Chicago (give or take a few depending on your route) and of course Tom shot a few pictures.  We dressed in our authentic Indian wear and jumped right in for a vividly colorful day loaded with deep traditions.

The third and last day of Anusha and Barath’s wedding pictured here, began with the couple on a large wooden swing near the entrance to the wedding hall.  They greeted their guests and had photos taken to kick off the celebration.  This was followed by the more formal ceremonies on the stage with the priests and family.  For this stage, the couple performs many rituals, repeats mantras, makes offerings and after a few hours becomes fully married!  Throughout the ceremony, the band plays loud and lively rhythmic music that stir excitement in the crowd.  Check out the short video for quick taste of sounds!

Introducing the newest member of Schmidt family- Priscilla! We took the plunge (insert ball and chain jokes, etc.) and got married on October 3 in Warrensburg, Missouri. We had quite possibly the smallest wedding I’ve ever seen, but we are still married all the same! We were joined by my family, my brother Tyler’s girlfriend Molly, a minister and a cellist on the warm and sunny fall day. Everybody with the last name of Schmidt contributed to the set of pictures you see here… Molly, Mom and Priscilla did an awesome job on our flowers and cake. After our tiny ceremony, we zoomed up to KC for a quick portrait session near Liberty Memorial and a steak dinner at Pierpont’s in Union Station.

A special thanks to everyone who helped to make our day a beautiful one!

Lea and Jim are some of our favorite people on the planet and we had an amazing wedding day with them at the Hawethorne House.  Lea and Jim are super in love and their lively personalities gave us a million moments to capture.  We had a wonderful fall day in Kansas City with some warm sun a cool breeze, PERFECT!  This wedding was also special for us because Lea was one of the very first Senior Portrait Shoot clients way back when TS Photography began, way back…  And then she went on be a great assistant for hundreds of senior shoots and tons of weddings.  She knows my silly jokes (some call them dad jokes, although I am not a dad yet…) as good as anyone could!  I still had to whip out the dancing shoes a few times just for old times sake.  Check out Lea and Jim’s beautiful wedding day pictures by Schmidt Weddings:

Wedding Ceremony at the Visitation Church in Kansas City Missouri

Kristin and Casey had a classic and elegant wedding in a beautiful Catholic Church just south of the Country Club Plaza.  With their early wedding, we had lots of time to explore the city and made a wonderful set of pictures.  Then we were off to their reception at Drexel Hall downtown. Best Kansas City Wedding Photographers – Schmidt Photo Weddings

The Downtown Kansas City provided a great venue for Jennifer and Josh’s summer wedding.  We began the day at the President Hotel and then we traveled just a few blocks to the Kansas City Library for their beautiful ceremony.  Then we were off to the awesome Midland Theater for their grand reception (and the biggest cake I’ve ever seen).  Check it out:
