Mako and Walt – Destination Wedding Reception
We had a wonderful day with Mako and Walt around Kansas City for their local reception after getting married in Jamaica. Mako’s beach wedding dress and Walt’s linen suit made for a cool Kansas City look. Although we did not photograph their destination wedding, we brought it all together to build one awesome album.
Courtney and Daniel – The Wedding
We ventured out of the city for Courtney and Daniel’s beautiful fall wedding at Powell Gardens in their A-Frame Chapel. The day was one of those perfect Missouri fall days that start out a little chilly, but turn into just the most awesome temperature to be outside. We took full advantage of the warm sun and got out and about in the park for lots of great pictures of the bride and groom. Check it out!
Charlena and Steve – The Wedding
Charlena and Steve’s wedding day gave us a perfect setting to create some of best couple and most beautiful bridal portraits EVER! We began the day with a nicely lit hotel room for the bride and groom getting ready shots. A bit of great light and a few big smiles combined for a great start to the wedding day festivities. For the wedding day portraits, Charlena and Steve arranged to meet in the lobby of the Union Station for her big reveal. He was so excited!! We worked our way around the classically styled old station for some beautiful portraits and then found a lookout on the second floor for the epic bridal picture with a full view of Charlena’s gown.
Off to get married at Pennway Place (Studio Dan Miners) for a short, but sweet wedding ceremony topped off with a glass breaking! Following the ceremony we snuck away for a super quick setup of some beautiful bridal portraits with Charlena’s awesome red rose bouquet. Oh yeah and a few with Steve! The fun and light hearted emotions of the post wedding pictures are always my favorite when the stress fades and it’s now time to party!
While we were making beautiful pictures, the wedding ceremony area was flipped and transformed into the reception venue.
Apparently everyone brought their dancing shoes, because once the dancing got started it was ON! Check it out!
Laura and Mark – The Wedding
Laura and Mark had a beautiful wedding at the exquisite Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church downtown Kansas City. We began the day at the Indian Hills Golf Course for a few fun portraits before the wedding. There was a little rain to work with, but never fear…they had awesome matching umbrellas! Rain or shine this group was ready to have a great time. The trolley ride after the wedding was a blast fully equipped with champagne karaoke. Enjoy!
Miranda and Aaron – The Wedding
Miranda and Aaron hosted a super fun and stylish vintage wedding at the Red Barn in Weston, Missouri on a perfect bright sunny summer day. The blue skies out of the city were PERFECT! Miranda and Aaron started their day with a first meeting just outside of a fun antique and crafts shop right on the main street of Weston. After a few kisses and sweet nothings, we set off to explore the area by foot for a few more rustic vintage looks before heading to the Red Barn.
Once back at venue, we pulled together a few family shots and got right into the ceremony! The ceremony was perfectly perched atop a hill overlooking miles of countryside! After the ceremony we hopped on a tractor pulled hayride (no limos here!) for a tour of the property. We found some of my favorite vintage buildings and rustic tools for some fun portraits. To top off the day, Miranda brought a set of hula hoops for a whimsical shot at sunset. So FUN! Check it out:
